ASSISTANT COACHES' PAGE
Week 4

Each week, pngfootball.com will interview an assistant coach off the PN-G staff. The assistant coach works very hard week in and week out to prepare the Indians to play on Friday nights. Their hard work and intense preparation are important to PN-G's success. Many times they are the ones who develop close relationships with their football pupils, and their coaching duties put them on the front lines in game preparation. Many times the assistant coach goes unrecognized in his contribution to Indian football. At pngfootball.com, we appreciate and recognize the work done by the assistant coaches. This is their page. |

| On the Defensive Line We feel like the defensive line is very important to our defensive scheme. If we don't take care of our business, our whole defense will get hurt. We work on maintaining the line of scrimmage. Holding our ground. Our strongest man is Jay Domingue. He's 5' 11", 315 lbs. He's tough to move, and he takes care of his business. Jeremy Davis is a young sophomore. He's 6' 0", 250 lbs. He has good quickness and goes to the ball. Jeremy Melancon is a little smaller but has good quickness and strong. We go to him and C. J. Blier to rush in passing situations. On the Silsbee Game The kids played well against Silsbee. I'm proud of them. Jeremy Davis, a sophomore, had 10 tackles. Jay Domingue had 4 or 5, didn't have as many tackles, but he sure smashed 'em up front. I don't think people can block him. We've got to keep him healthy. We played good--did a good job! On LC-M LC-M is not as big as Ozen or Silsbee. I think we can play with them. We need to stop the dive off the option. They run some trap. They like to run the sweep, but that's usually the outside people's responsibility. Ours is to stop the dive and the trap and stuff like that. On Coaching the Defensive Line @ PN-G I love it! |
