 Playoff Week 4

December 2, 2001

On the Poth Game

    I think the key to the game was that we were able to control the game offensively. We began the game by doing so, and capping it with a long scoring drive. I thought our kids played with a lot of intensity and flew around. It was the middle of the fourth quarter before Poth got a first down. Our kids played real hard, and we're proud of that.

Upcoming Opponent:  Hemphill

    We know that offensively their formations and philosophy is similar to what we've seen from Johnson City and Academy. They obviously are very well coached. They've got some great athletes, and they play hard. They look to be very well disciplined.

On Blanco's Fans

     We appreciate the large number of Panther fans that attended the game Saturday, and maintained their enthusiasm throughout the game. It means a lot to the kids that the fans be behind them. We appreciate that.
